Abdullah Kanca was born in 1934 in Sürmene. He completed secondary-high school and Vocational High School. In 1954-1965, he was engaged in trade in Sürmene. During these years, he was involved in community and association activities. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Agriculture, which he founded in 1962. He took part in studies at State Planning and Ministries for hazelnut-tea production.

In 1965, it started to manufacture hammers and cutters in Istanbul Topkapı. He established Turkey's most modern Hand Tools factory in 1976. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of KANCA A.Ş., which moved to its new production facilities in Gebze-Şekerpınar in 2004 and produces parts for the major automotive giants of Turkey and Europe, until 2007. Abdullah Kanca, who is married and has 4 children, also served as TAYSAD (Association of Automotive Subcontractors) and TOSB Organized Industrial Zone Vice President, ISO Professional Committee and TOBB Sector Board member.

With the aim of paying back what he earned from his country to this country, he brought the support he gave to education and charitable institutions for years to the highest point with the "KTU Abdullah Kanca Vocational High School", the construction of which started in Trabzon at the end of 2006. This outstanding work will contribute to our country's economy and especially to the reduction of immigration by enabling our young people to have jobs. Abdullah Kanca passed away in January 2007.
